Falling into the Seed Trap...

It’s easy to get sucked into the seed trap, and trust me, Stephanie and I know this all too well. It starts innocently enough—we’re just browsing through our favorite seed sites, thinking we’re “just looking.” But before we know it, we're clicking on a new variety of flowers we have to try for next spring. Oh, and then there's the “ooh, these would look great on the farm” moment... followed by more browsing. Before we knew it, our shopping carts were overflowing with all the possibilities for next season. It's like a never-ending rabbit hole of blooms—and we just can’t help ourselves!

Looking back, we can hardly believe how quickly our business came together last June. What started as a wild idea soon blossomed into our dream micro-farm, and while we planted half the space last year, we’re gearing up for a full season of planting this time around. We’re excited to see how everything evolves as we watch the flowers grow in full force, from the first seeds we planted to the first blooms we’ll harvest. This year, it's not just about testing what works—it’s about bringing our entire space to life.
As we wrap up the final touches on this year’s layout, we’re so excited about one particular feature: the perennial borderalong the perimeter of the farm. It’s a mix of beauty and functionality, combining flowers that’ll bloom year after year with those that provide a bit of privacy and structure. It feels like the perfect way to start off our full planting season, setting the stage for a farm that’s as much about charm as it is about growth. We can’t wait to see how everything blooms—and, of course, what new flowers we end up ordering in the meantime! Stay tuned as we prepare for Summer 2025!
